Agreement to terms

By accessing or using Cafe-Nomad ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Description of service

Cafe-Nomad is a directory of coffee shops and cafes evaluated for remote-work suitability. We provide information about Wi-Fi speed, noise levels, outlets, amenities, and other work-relevant metrics sourced from public APIs and community votes.

Data accuracy disclaimer

Cafe data is gathered from third-party sources (Google Places API, community votes, and public records) and may not always reflect current conditions. Wi-Fi speeds, hours, and amenities can change without notice. Cafe-Nomad provides this information as-is and makes no guarantee of accuracy or completeness. Always verify important details directly with the cafe.

User-submitted content

When you submit votes, ratings, or speed tests, you grant Cafe-Nomad a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, display, and aggregate that data. Submissions must be truthful and made from the physical location of the cafe. We reserve the right to remove or discard submissions that appear fraudulent or abusive.

Affiliate links and advertising

Cafe-Nomad may contain affiliate links and display advertisements. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission. Sponsored content is clearly labeled. See our Affiliate & Ad Disclosure page for more details.

Prohibited conduct

You agree not to: (a) submit false or misleading votes or data; (b) use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or overload our servers beyond normal usage; (c) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service; (d) use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

Intellectual property

All content, design, and code on Cafe-Nomad are owned by or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cafe-Nomad and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to reliance on cafe data.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice.

Changes to these terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Quebec City, Quebec.
